- However, unlike a coated abrasive, a wire brush is designed for conditioning metal surfaces and is not an accessory for removing metals
- Ideal for light corrosion, rust and paint removal
- Keep the brushes at an angle of no more than 5 degrees in light, constant pressure ensures full wire workpiece contact and maximum wire life
- Incorrect angles or excessive pressure allow the wires to be heated, tired, and break prematurely, while also as a blooming of the wires and the "moan" of the angle grinder can occur from the excessive load
- Carbon steel brushes should only work on carbon steel to avoid cross contamination in certain applications such as stainless steel/stainless steel
